NCRC 101

The National CRC Advocates recognize all WorkKeys based certificates and we recognize all certificate practitioners as partners in the national movement. The National Career Readiness Certificate is a product of ACT. In addition to the NCRC many states issue Career Readiness Certificates. Some states print their own certificates, some work with ACT to print and distribute certificates. Some states include certificate registration numbers that can be validated on the ACT website, some do not. As a result, you will see variation in the management and messaging surrounding the national certificate movement.

All certificates indicate the presence of essential workplace skills. The assessment contents are based on detailed analysis of over 17,000 jobs. Hence, the certificate is aligned perfectly to the needs of employers. The certificate provides hiring managers with reliable information about an applicants critical thinking and problem solving skills. And, the certificate is a guide to individuals as they seek to prepare themselves for good paying jobs. There are four levels of certificates Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, corresponding to minimum scores of three, four, five, and six on the three assessments.
