Within today’s global economy, finding and keeping a job requires higher skill levels than ever before. Employers want workers with documented skills based on the “real world” of any work place from a welding shop to a hospital.

More than 80% of all jobs are projected to require skills levels beyond those gained in high school. What employers need are employees who are trainable, and who can benefit from the many opportunities afforded them for skill enhancement.

With the “Certified for Success” Career Readiness certificate, CRC New Mexico is joining other states in addressing these issues by developing a portable skills credential based on WorkKeys, a nationally recognized skills assessment tool developed by ACT Inc.
