Technical Assistance
 
Goal 5 indicates that the Adovcates provide service. There is an active and growing network of practitioners across the nation. Many states and regions cooperate and share best practices. These are important peer-to-peer learning networks.
 
We hosted a pre-conferece session last year the day prior to the ACT Workforce 2010 conference in Philadelphia. We had representatives from 17 states. You can download the presentations via the document links to the right. After some good discussion, the general concensus of the group was that we are ready to make our certificate programs more significant by expanding them to serve larger numbers of individiduals. Oklahoma was the first state to schedule an Institute as a follow up to this session. The Oklahma Institute was held in June 2010.
 
We are planning for another pre-conference session. Our plan for this year is to co-host a best practices session with the States Chat Group on the topic of Work Ready Communities.
 
We are also avaliable to support states and regions with Career Readiness Planning Institutes. Institues can be customized to the needs to the state or region. Learn more about Institutes here.
